One of the many spin-offs of the Beatification of John Paul II is that the many bloggers who made the weekend are now meeting with the Pontifical Council for Social Communication.
I’m sad I’m not there and that we’re on the outside, but thanks to the Bloggers who are there such as @AnnaArco the #VBM11 really has no outsiders.
This is the great learning the Vatican has made – Bloggers are our friends and the blogosphere drives an istantaneous media. Bloggers for the Church are Catholics living out their Baptismal Commitment to preach the Good News into a different world.
I’m excited and thrilled that the #VBM11 is one of the few genuinely simultaneous, popular, plebian communications that doesn’t involve us all going to St Peter’s Square or #WYD11. We’re all here!
So Monday night in Africa, Monday Morning in the US, Monday to Tuesday in the Phillipines is all the now of the Good News. This is thrilling
So, while there are very few African Voices (if any, Anna?) at the meeting, there are still african and South American and Phillipine participants. The Church Universal is here.
Best comment of the day – from the Twitter Feeds from Fr Roderick – If the Church is to Fish, it needs good bait!
