Sweeping the streets for a new country. Juba for independence

Watching news reports this morning on TV was surprising. I’m in Juba, but there is very little tension here. Military yes. Anticipation yes. but tension? Last evening we watched how people were sweeping the streets for a new country – it is people owning their new country.

This is so exciting – I feel so much like South Africa in 1994.

There is so much good here.
